About Tepekong
Gili Tepekong is famous for its spectacular walls, deep canyons, and strong currents that attract grey reef sharks, eagle rays, barracuda, and other large pelagics. Visibility is often excellent thanks to the constant water movement, though conditions can vary significantly from day to day. Nearby, Gili Mimpang—comprising four small rocky islets—features beautiful sea fan gardens and thriving reef life. Schools of angelfish and chromis fill the water column, while Napoleon wrasse, black rays, leopard sharks, and white tip reef sharks are frequently spotted. With depths averaging around eighteen meters, Gili Mimpang allows plenty of bottom time to fully appreciate its rich marine scenery.
